Our coaches have personal backgrounds in endurance sports. We have all been there and know what it takes to perform with high levels of output. We are able to walk you or your team, step by step, through the process of training for your event. Every aspiring fitness enthusiast is welcome, from the fitness walker wanting to complete their first 5 km run, the seasoned athlete looking for a PB (Personal Best) in a multi-day event, to the team hoping to improve their agility and performance.
Traditional methods of training, such as muscle isolation, machine based training, aerobic training, and linear speed training can all lead to injury and leave the body ill-prepared for the demands of sport and life. Our training is based on proper fundamental movement patterns, a base for all sports.
Fundamental Movement (base training)
The Fundamental Movement principal focuses on developing the individual's capacity to execute functional movements relative to sport performance. This type of training produces a more dynamic, resilient and powerful athlete. It is designed to build the base for developing strength, power, endurance, and explosiveness.
What to Expect at Our First Meeting
We are dedicated to enabling our clients to reach their respective goals, we will discuss in our first meeting:
• The Individual / Team / Group needs and desires
• The level of competition and experience
• The compatibility of our training and health perspectives
• Cost and payment options
• Scheduling possibilities
What to Expect When You Train With Us
After our introductory meeting, the next step is to assess the level of health and fitness of each individual participating. In our thorough kinesiology based bio-mechanical, lifestyle assessment will address the following:
• Bio-mechanics - Joint range of motion and function
• Stress - Lifestyle, training, nutrition, sleep wake cycle
• Balance and agility
• Strength - muscle balance and symmetry
• Client health history
Each individual will receive their own corrective stretch strengthening program. The program will also include some supportive lifestyle tips based on thier individual assessment.
