#1. Swiss Alpine Marathon
This was my first ever "marathon"- an ultra-marathon. I completed it back in 1996. Back then the race was only 67km. I was living and working in Switzerland at the time and I was captivated by the beauty of the mountains. They called on me to run them! Since then, I have been hooked on experiencing nature by running through trails. The hillier the better!
