I constantly work hard to be fit, keep a healthy balanced life while challenging my body, testing my limits. I try to put into practice in my own life, what I suggest for my clients. I always want to experience first hand any component of a health and fitness plan before I put it into any plan for my clients. I always say, "I am my own best guinea pig".
I have used my knowledge from training for sub 3 hour marathons and dozens of ultra-marathons to train hundreds of marathoners and beginner runners, adventure seekers, as well as many long distance tri-athletes.
Fortunately, I have been able to free myself from many of my life's ailments through my own quest for truth and knowledge in the health field with this perspective. Over my life I have learned that we have an incredible power within us to be anything we desire. Having a health concern is simply a minor roadblock that we can overcome, if you choose to do so. With this attitude, I have successfully cured myself of Gastro-intestinal Reflux Disorder (GERD) that plagued me from a young child until my early twenties. I have completely eliminated anxiety and depression created by poor nutrition and lifestyle habits. I am able to keep my diagnosis of ADHD at bay through implementing healthier lifestyle, exercise, life/stress balance and nutritional protocols.

My 35 years in competing in endurance based events and pushing myself to the limits of my body, I have learned what it takes to get results. Including all aspects of proper training fitness, recovery, coordination, muscle balance and stress/life balance.

I have had many client's complain of unresolved digestive problems, shoulders, hip and back pain, trouble losing body fat, overwhealming lifestyle stress, and over all ill-health. A lot have been left to drug medication, self medicating or physical therapy only ending up with poor results at best. After a comprehensive analysis of their lifestyle, medical history, present stress levels, nutritional analysis, and physiological diagnostics we able to clarify the present issue and create a personal plan of action to begin resolving the problem. We may not always fully resolve the complaint, but we are usually able to reduce the severity and begin creating a lifestyle management plan to resolve the problem.
As I said, what I have experienced first hand is incorporated into the plans of my clients. When you have the right tools and the right attitude, you can make change!

Peter is a personal trainer certified under Canfit Pro (the Canadian Association of Fitness Professionals), a certified holistic health practioner, and member of The Natural Health Practitioners of Canada. He continues his studies with the world-renowned Chek Institute in Vista California, where he been certified as an exercise coach.
Peter owned a bricks and mortar gym for over 8 years and found himself not happy and fulfilled with the administration and management of this type of enterprise. He has recently return to his passion of coaching individuals and groups personally. His aim now is to bring more people together physically and virtually on-line to collectively train for adventures and events globally. He is presently working on establishing himself in the endurance community to train groups and individuals through his weekly group training on Thursdays and Weekends, More information can be found here.
Peter combines his 35-plus years of training in many endurance sports with his 18-years experience using alternative health care therapies to counsel and educate each client about their strengths and ailments. The modalities that can be used in practice are physical fitness coaching, corrective exercise, advanced Metabolic Typing®, holistic nutrition, intuitive spiritual counselling, aromatherapy, reflexology, reiki, and holographic release techniques.
My Personal Interests
I love running and training for long distance endurance races, having completed numerous marathons and ultra-marathons (races over 50km). I prefer to run on trails and hilly terrain, simply spending time with nature. I am passionately interested in travel, meditation, the metaphysical part of life, contemplating our existence and the power of the human consciousness. Of course, before all of this, I enjoy spending my free time with my girlfriend Melody and our kids.
